Top left - All parts of the roof terrace are based on one compass point in its centre, making all the curves part of one circle. The fronts of the steps and planting troughs curve to match.
Top right - benches fit in between the planters and seat many more people on the terrace than having a table and chairs in the centre.
Below left - a gas powered barbeque is set into the hardwood work top, its gas bottle and cooking items are stored in the cupboards below.
Below centre - The planters are full of scented and flowering plants with irrigation built in.
Below right - although a circular form is hard to achieve in wood it is an encompassing intimate shape, everyone sitting on these benches faces toward the centre.
